Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Offload collects, why, and what you can do about it. We follow the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Who we are

Offload is a one-person business in South Africa run by Dean, who is also our Information Officer. Contact:hello@offloadwork.co.za.

What we collect and why

• When you ask for a setup: your first name, email, WhatsApp number, and your answers about your job and how you work. We use these to plan your session and to contact you about it.
• When you buy a product: your email, what you bought and whether payment went through, so we can send your download and keep accounting records. Never your card details.
• Consent records: when you agreed to our terms, to WhatsApp contact and (if you chose) to our newsletter, so we can show we asked.
• Newsletter, guide and webinar sign-ups: your first name and email, to send what you asked for.
• Where you came from: if you arrived from a link like TikTok or Instagram, we note that app name with your sign-up, request or purchase, so we know which posts help people. It's stored in your browser and sent with forms you fill in.
• Website use: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies and without tracking you across sites. Our security checks (Cloudflare Turnstile) and rate limits briefly process your IP address to stop spam.

Cookies and ad pixels

We only use advertising cookies (the Meta and TikTok pixels) if you tap Accept on the cookie message. They tell Meta and TikTok that you visited, signed up or bought something, so we can see which posts and ads work. If you tap No thanks, they never load. You can change your mind with "Cookie choices" at the bottom of any page.

Who helps us (operators)

• Paystack handles payments. Card details go straight to Paystack and never reach us.
• Resend sends emails about your request or purchase. MailerLite sends the newsletter, guide and webinar emails.
• Cloudflare hosts the website and stores requests, orders and product files.
• Cal.com runs the video calls (Cal Video). WhatsApp is how we arrange them.
• Meta and TikTok, only if you accept their cookies.

Some of these services store information outside South Africa. We only use providers that protect personal information to a standard similar to POPIA.

AI tools

Dean may use AI tools (such as Claude) to prepare your session from your answers. Please don't include client names or anything confidential in the setup form. We don't send your answers to any AI tool from this website itself, and we don't use your information to train AI models.

How long we keep it

• Your setup answers and session notes: deleted 12 months after you send them.
• Your name, contact details and payment and order records: kept as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.
• Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we use it. Emailhello@offloadwork.co.za and we'll reply within 30 days. You can unsubscribe from any email with the link at the bottom.

Complaints

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa):inforegulator.org.za, emailPOPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
